The owners of this c 1885 Queen Anne Victorian house in an Historic District wished to create outdoor refuges where their family and guests can enjoy their rear yard and neighborhood views without being pestered by mosquitoes.

A removable screen panel system was added to the side portion of the existing wrap-around front porch. Framing is recessed behind the original railings and turned wood columns.

A one-story screen porch was added at the rear of the house. The screen porch addition has a hip roof and an exterior open porch with simplified columns and rails. These features visually tie the new work to the existing wrap-around front porch, de-emphasizing the 70’s addition.
